June 22, 2016 by UPICEC Leave a Comment

John-Satini-profile-picMy name is John Satini and I am running for Salt Lake City School Board, District 1. I was born in southern California and moved to Utah about 1980. The fist house my parents moved into was in the Rose Park community. When my father was diagnosed with cancer, before he passed, I purchased the house, and am now raising my family in the very home I grew up in. I am married to my beautiful wife Lisia Satini and we have 5 beautiful children. 1 girl, 4 boys. From the time my children stepped foot into the classroom I have been heavily involved with their education. I have volunteered on numerous accounts for the schools they have attended. I have also coached the little league football teams, coached basketball at the Jr jazz level, AAU, and now high school. I am currently working on getting my degree in film, and am a small business owner and entrepreneur.

Since moving to Rose Park from California, I have seen our great city change and grow into a multi-cultural community of color. We have been blessed with the richness of a variety of cultures and every day I have the fortune of seeing this every time I step out of my house. Because of the diverse richness of our district, don’t you think it is only appropriate that the members of the school board also represent the districts that it serves?

VOTE for me, JOHN SATINI! Elect me to represent District 1 on the Salt Lake City School Board and take on the responsibility of making sure that all members of our community is represented!!
